Addison Farms Vineyard is a family-owned vineyard and winery. We are in Leicester, NC, 14 miles northwest of Asheville, NC on NC Hwy 63. The property has been a living, working tobacco and cattle farm for the past 75 years. Addison Farmer and his parents purchased the property in 1937, and Addison and his wife, Ines, purchased additional property next-door in 1955.

In 2009, Addison Farms planted the first acre of what is planned to be a ten acre vineyard. Additional plantings were completed in 2010 and 2011, and the vineyard now covers ~3.5 acres. The vineyard is at an elevation between 2250' and 2300'. Current varieties include Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Sangiovese, Montepulciano, and Petit Verdot. We are adding ~0.5 acres of Petit Manseng in 2012.

For 2012, we are constructing our tasting room, with an anticipated opening in early summer 2012. At the tasting room, you will be able to taste and buy Addison Farms Vineyard wines.
