Foothills Family Farms
Foothills Family Farms is a collection of family owned and operated farms in Old Fort, NC serving retail and wholesale customers throughout Western North Carolina. In 2005, a group of farmers came together to begin cooperatively producing and marketing pasture-raised meats, fresh produce and cut-flowers to local buyers. Since the beginning, we have insisted on producing food in harmony with nature by using sustainable production practices. We chose NOT to be certified Organic by the USDA, but we use NO synthetic fertilizers or pesticides on our crops and NO added hormones or antibiotics in our meats. We believe our loyal customers are the best "certification" a farmer can hope for!
We believe that by providing fresh, sustainably grown foods, we can significantly contribute to a better quality of life for farmers, customers, our animals, our neighbors and our land.
