Peace, Love & Soap

1315

Our soaps are handmade from scratch, in our kitchen. We use a blend of nourishing oils that moisturize the skin, leaving it feeling soft & hydrated. Many types of oils are used including extra virgin olive, jojoba, coconut, palm, and castor. All oils are vegetable based. These oils are combined with an alkali solution (sodium hydroxide and distilled water) and the mixture is infused with local herbs, pure essential oils, pigments and scents. The soap must then be left for twenty four hours for the process of saponification to take place. The glycerin, made during the saponification period, is what hydrates the skin. Many times this is removed from mass produced soap and sold for profit, leaving a detergent which over dries the skin. Our soap comes complete, in its natural state. That's what sets our product apart from the mass produced product. After saponification is complete, the slabs of soap are cut into bars and cured for 6 to 8 weeks. Each recipe is made in small batches to ensure the highest quality for each bar.
