Biltmore
About Us
Our roots grow deep in WNC. Since Biltmore began in 1895, it was George W. Vanderbilt's vision to operate the estate as a working, self-sustaining farm. Still privately owned by his great-grandson, the estate today embodies the agricultural legacy of its founder. You're invited to discover the historic treasures found in the 250-room home, America's Largest Home and a National Historic Landmark. Visit century-old gardens as well as Antler Hill Village for dining, shopping, historic exhibits and live entertainment. Taste award-winning wines crafted from grapes harvested in Biltmore's 94-acre vineyard and in partnership with growers throughout North Carolina. Dine at restaurants supplied through the estate's field-to-table program and through partnerships with local farmers. Whether you're interested in agricultural tours, history and architecture, gardening, the art and science of winemaking, or just relaxing with delicious food and wine in a beautiful setting, we invite you to visit Biltmore.
