About Us

Round Mountain Creamery is the first and only combined Dairy Goat Farm and Grade A Goat Milk Processing Plant in the state of North Carolina. Located in the Blue Ridge Mountains on 28 acres, our farmstead is nestled just below Round Mountain, about 25 miles south east of Asheville, North Carolina.

Our pampered Alpine, LaMancha and Nubian goat herd provide an excellent quality goat milk for our farmstead Grade A vat pasteurized goat milk and goat cheeses. The method we use to produce our milk is regulated by North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources. Our goat milk is tested regularly under strict PMO (Pasteurized Milk Ordinance) guidelines. We are confident that vat pasteurization and bottling in glass bottles protects the integrity of our fresh whole goat milk.

Our cheeses are made from the same Grade A goat milk that is produced and bottled on our farm and is regulated by the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services Food and Drug Protection Division. Our goat cheese is a mild and creamy canvas for a culinary pallet of certified organic herbs, spices and naturally grown fruits and nuts. Fresh goat milk and twelve flavors of goat cheese is available daily. Our herbed and/or spiced goat cheeses, freezes well for up to six months and we have a year round supply.
